I’m thrilled to announce that I’ve joined the cast of SWEAT by two-time Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Lynn Nottage at ACT this fall. This production marks the start of a new era for ACT, now under the Artistic Direction of Tony, Obie, and Drama Desk award-winner Pam McKinnon.
The fierce and fabulous Loretta Greco is directing. I’ve had the honor of working with Loretta many times and couldn’t be more excited to be back in the room with her for this compelling, timely, and all-too-relevant play.
Just the other day, there was a strike right down the block from where we rehearse. Our rehearsal hall filled with the sounds of strikers shouting, “ONE JOB SHOULD BE ENOUGH!” It’s an honor to be an artist. A special honor to get to work. But the honor and responsibility multiply when working on a play that speaks directly to our current cultural moment. I hope you’ll have the chance to check it out!
